Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the muscoloskeletal system. Chiropractic focuses on the cause of the problems and not just the symptoms. Its main aim is to reduce pain and improve overall health by maintaining correct spinal alignment and good muscle tone which in turn promote optimal nerve function and optimal health.

Chiropractic should not be considered as an alternative therapy, but as a complementary one. This means that, if necessary, we can work together with your GP, addressing different aspects of your problem. If it appears that the source of your symptoms can not be treated by the use of chiropractic, we will refer you to your GP. More and more GPs are referring their patients to chiropractors. At The Joint, we often see patients referred to us by local general practitioners.
